Cocktail Hour: Rosemary Salty Dog

This particular cocktail was tested by some Girls of a Feather… and passed. We decided that not only is the color absolutely lovely, but it’s the perfect sipping drink with chatty friends. It just feels special. I’m pretty sure it was the chatty friends that made it special. As it should be.

This drink originally came from a Food & Wine recipe. We all agreed that we’d like to try it next time with sugar on the rim. Would that make it a Sugar Dog?

Cheers to Friday and chatty Girls of a Feather!

  • Course salt

Wet the glass rim with the grapefruit wedge and coat with salt. In a cocktail shaker, muddle about 1 inch of rosemary with sugar. Ad the grapefruit juice, gin, ice, and shake. Strain into the glass and serve with a rosemary sprig for garnish.
