Cocktail Friday: {Summer Sangria}

Finally!  The long winter (and rainy spring) is over, and we can turn our attention to the swimming pool! Shorts and tanks! And this summery wonder, Summer Sangria.  This is a lighter version of the red sangria you might be imagining.  It includes frozen fruit, which eliminates the need for ice! Genius right?

Remember this girl?  This is her recipe, and it’s a good one.  Simple, a little sweet, and best shared with friends.  Sounds like summer to me.

Summer Sangria

1 large bottle Pinot Grigio

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 can Sprite

Juice of 3-4 limes

1 cup white grape juice

2-3 cups Frozen fruit

Add the sugar, white grape juice and lime juice to a pitcher.  Stir until combined.  Add the remaining ingredients, and finish with the frozen fruit.  Chill until flavors are melded, or until you just can’t wait any longer, which is what we did.

Cheers to SUMMER!!!      IMG_4494
