Cocktail Hour: {Orange Julius}

It’s the mall-walking drink from our childhood. That creamy, frothy orange goodness that we begged our mom money for while she got just one more store under her belt. Now, make it at home. For kids after school. On a warm Saturday after raking. Add a little zip as a cocktail. But embrace it once again.

It’s a simple concoction, delish for kids and adults alike, tastes like the start of fall, and just goes down smooth. Cheers!

Ingredients:

  • 6oz. frozen orange juice (I’ve substituted already-made OJ from the frig just fine, and just cut down the water and sugar)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 handfuls ice
  • For an adult cocktail, add 4 oz white rum

Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
