Cocktail Hour: {Mulled Wine}

As you plan for your holiday hosting, a big-batch warm cocktail is always festive. Eggnog and Tom & Jerry’s satisfy that creamy craving, but mulled wine is a delish option that’s more cider-spicy and light. It’s completely simple to dump together. And the bonus? Let it simmer over the course of your afternoon, and your house will smell absolutely amazing.

Mulled Wine

4 cups apple cider

1 bottle (750mL) red wine, like Cabernet Sauvignon

1/4 cup honey

4 cinnamon sticks

1 orange, zested and juiced

8 whole cloves

Combine all in a pot, and bring to a boil. Simmer over low heat for at least 15 minutes, and serve in mugs. Add orange peel for a garnish.
